Have you ever looked back and tried to pick a day where your life went completely off the rails?
Well I tried, and I really couldn’t pick just one day. Looking back, there were a lot of things I was in denial about. I was purposely ignoring all of the things that were slowly destroying my psyche, telling myself it was all normal, stress related things.
Everyone has panic attacks so bad you lock yourself in a bathroom stall and miss class because you literally think your dying…right?
The hard truth is that there is very rarely one specific day that was the turning point. There are a lot of moments, both big and small, that lead you here. If you had a time machine and went back to change the outcome of one specific day, or even one microscopic decision, chances are you would probable still be exactly where you are.
Instead of looking back wondering where it all went wrong, your better off on focusing on what you can do or even what you hope to do in the future. Easier said than done I know, but at least you have some level of control over the outcome.
Of course, this is all just my opinion, what the hell do I know. But your still reading aren’t you.
What do you do when you have no idea where your life is going?
If you have the answer, let me know.
